One of two massive regional dams Croton Dam is a simple 5 minute drive from River Country lodge.  This unique landmark is the starting point for many activities.  Whether kayaking, tubing or hiking this grand structure is more than just a great picture.  The dam holds great access to the river and a starting point for the North Country Scenic Trail.  This trail is a beautiful 4,600 mile trail that links scenic, natural, historic and cultural areas across seven states and is the longest continuous hiking trail in the United States.
